There are four men’s and three women’s finals at Murrayfield and Hive Stadium at the weekend on Silver Saturday, but the women’s National Bowl final will be played on May 9 when Falkirk and Gala will meet.
The game will be played within the Murrayfield complex at 1.30pm before Scotland take on France at 4.15pm at Hive Stadium in round four of the Women’s Six Nations so there will be a real buzz on the day.
Falkirk made it through to the final by winning four out of four in the five-team group stage.
They defeated Aberfeldy away 69-0 first up then beat BanffBroch 59-0 at home.
Next up they were given a walkover 28-0 win over Gala who could not raise a side on the day and then they toughed out a 19-5 away win at Musselburgh.
Apart from the missed Falkirk game, Gala defeated BanffBroch at home 93-5, came out on top 33-22 at Musselburgh and, just recently, got the better of Aberfeldy 91-0 at home.

After table toppers Falkirk and Gala in the group stage standings, Musselburgh were third, BanffBroch were fourth and Aberfeldy were fifth and, in a number of the teams, it was great to see people new to the sport involved.
Before Christmas, Falkirk completed their Aspiring League campaign with a 57–24 victory over Gala at home at Horne Park.
That result left Falkirk as the undefeated winners of the development programme which also featured teams from RDVC and Musselburgh and set them up nicely for the National Bowl run.
