ABOUT GH MEDIA

Gary HeatlyEver since he can remember Gary Heatly has had a love for sport and a love for writing. While he was at school growing up in Edinburgh he set about combining the two and began to write match reports for rugby and cricket matches that his friends were playing in.

That progressed to getting involved in the school magazine and then writing for the university newspaper and so on.

Having cut his teeth in the ‘real world’ at the Midlothian Advertiser newspaper for a couple of years he has since been kept busy as a member of the editorial team at SCRUM Magazine – Scotland’s only dedicated rugby union title – whilst providing regular sports content to various national newspapers and websites.

OUR WORK

Every athlete, be it an amateur or a professional, has a story to tell and Gary Heatly enjoys producing tailored content that does that story justice.

Gary can turn his hand to most sports when it comes to producing great content, whether it is interviewing Scottish sporting stars like Stuart Hogg, putting together a cracking feature on a grassroots initiative or tailoring content for clients to make sure they get the right response from their target audience.

Having been involved in newspapers, magazines and websites for many years, Gary is adept at proof reading while he can also turn his hand to topics outside the sporting sphere.
