Cartha Queens Park’s under-18 team cannot wait to get out onto the BT Murrayfield pitch on Sunday afternoon.
They will take on Stirling County in the showpiece final on Girls’ Club Cup finals day when three other finals at various age grades will take place.
To get to the final Cartha, who have won the Shield over the last two years, defeated Hillhead/Jordanhill 36-24 away from home and then put in a polished showing to defeat Caithness 39-22 at home.
Cartha under-18s head coach Alex Donaghy, said: “The girls are very excited to be in the Cup final for the first time as we have won the Shield the previous two years and this is great progress.
“It will be a good game against Stirling and we are looking forward to it, the girls have worked ever so hard to get here.
“They are always willing to learn and get better and the great thing for me as a coach is that many of the squad are still young enough to be part of this team again next year.”
